About the project

Modern school’s overall purpose is to provide a high quality education in a welcoming and friendly environment and inspire the student to flourish as a person in school and beyond. The project “EUstudents in EUwonderland” provides various opportunities to develop individuality, curiosity and a breadth of interests. Students will participate in a full range of social, cultural, artistic and sporting activities: active involvement in the projects' activities will give students better understanding of World Cultural Heritage,democracy and human rights,a sense of responsibility; supporting a charity will develop their generosity of spirit and compassion; many artistic projects will build students' appreciation of European culture and arts; organizing a school trip will improve their management skills and increase team spirit; European Cultural Heritage Corner will remain a valuable long term resource for the whole school community.

Aims

The project EUstudents in EUwonderland aims to teach the sense of concern about Cultural heritagein our students,to learn and discover together ,both teachers and students the richness of Europe’s Cultural Heritage and to increase the sense of belonging to the common European area.Some of our aims are to build strong partnerships and to promote the competitiveness of Bulgarian Cultural heritage abroad;to provoke other countries' curiosity to Bulgarian culture and traditions and our students' curiosity to other cultures and traditions,to improve students' speaking skills and social skills-to be active,responsible,supportive and concerned and creative.We want all our students to be involved in the project and make friends with other EU students and probably keep in touch in future in order to create a strong friendship.European Union has been a family for a long time and we all are
members of this family.European citizens need have some common interests and goals in fast changing world.

Work process

Partners suggested different relevent to the project activities and chose the most inspiring andrelevent to the project objectives.Once the project is approved each partner will organise school meetings to inform students,parents,school staff,local media.Bulgaria will plan and organize the first
Transnational meeting and lead the project to its end.Bulgaria will also be responsible for the good communication between partners and possible conflicts and their solution.In Bulgaria partners will select the ICT tools for realization and dissemination of the project.Italy will organize various
workshops,seminars and will run the parallel etwinning project.Portugal will ensure a STEM and Coding training for teachers and other innovative methods of teaching and resources.Each partner school will alsoorganise a teaching lesson with Cultural Heritage and be responsible to organise the meetings in
their schools and their participation in partners' meetings.

Expected results

• get engaged in a number of challenging activities beyond the school curriculum in cooperation with their peers from various European countries
• play a full part in their school lives through projects' activities and take responsible actions to bring effective improvement.
• improve their cooperation skills and team work thus the ability to justify their views, consider, other opinions, compromise and respect each other.
• develop their interests and creativity, their strengths and passions and they will have a chance to present them internationally.
• take responsibility for the ones in need by organizing original charity actions.
• improve the command of English language (both written and spoken) using it in cross-cultural communication and international team working.
• find penpals and make friends with the students from the partner schools
• become more aware of and more open to European Cultural heritage:art and
literature,music,dance,sport
• develop their self-esteem
